Sascha Brastoff Turquoise Platinum Blue Surf Ballet Free Form Nut dish, lemon server olive Dish California pottery

I was at an estate sale today and they had several pieces of Sascha Brastoff pottery they were all the turquoise platinum surf ballet - the bowls were clearly marked but were chipped badly. There was a cruet set - unmarked but in same pattern and I could kick myself for not buying it.
Then there was this dish. There is faint circle where stamp would have been on base but not clear mark. But it is ummistakeably Sascha. Swirled Platinum lines in a light turquoise blue. The pattern that made him famous. Also interesting I can not find another free form piece like this . The handle is for serving I am sure - perhaps meant to be a nut dish, relish tray or olive or lemon server? That the other pieces were oil , vinegar etc. Perhaps it was a salad set? It measures 8 inches long and 5 inches high at the back handle, No chips or cracks.

I think it's a harder to find piece.
His work was the pinnacle of mid century modern but often he was even more modern that his times. He was a well known artist in design for the movie studios as well, and lived a very interesting life. Google him to find out more there is a lot of information .

This pattern was also made in Pink , and I think white

Generally, buyers pay the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. Import charges can vary widely but are most commonly based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country.
Most sellers on Etsy are unable to predict which of these fees, if any, will be applied, and Etsy does not expect sellers to calculate or collect these fees or taxes. This information should be clarified in sellers' shop policies. You can learn more about shop policies here.
