American Bisque Coffee Kettle Cookie Jar 1950s Original with Metal Handle Coffee cup and cookies painted Black Lid Vintage Cookie Jar

Another cookie Jar from same estate. This one American Bisque, this is a classic look for them. Airbrushed Details and the triangular pattern on the base where it rest in kiln. The raised bottom is common with their Molds. It measures 11 inches high , has the original metal bale handle. Great graphics, some paint loss to the handpainted word Cookies but the airbrush portions are still bright. I love there cookie jars, they were all so whimsical and clever. They were one of the most prolific makers of their time.

Located in Williamstown, West Virginia, the company originally started as a maker of Kewpie Doll heads — mostly because of World War I supply lines being stopped to European products. B.E. Allen purchased the company in 1922 and it stayed in the family until sold in 1982, it closed only one year late.

This again will bring back memories of your childhood, and Grandmas house or perhaps mom's house depending on your age. My grandmother had quite a few jars I don't recall her having this one but she had other with the air brushed look. Great find.

These can get expensive to ship as the boxes wind up being oversized so please check the shipping rates.

We have added a 3.00 handling fee to cookie jars - as we are double boxing them. They typically cost us about 5 .00 in peanuts and boxes. We don't get these items at deep discounts like large retailers do.

Generally, buyers pay the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. Import charges can vary widely but are most commonly based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country.
Most sellers on Etsy are unable to predict which of these fees, if any, will be applied, and Etsy does not expect sellers to calculate or collect these fees or taxes. This information should be clarified in sellers' shop policies. You can learn more about shop policies here.
