Empty Antique Pharmacy Bottle Apothecary Upjohn Dovers Powder Empty Bottle Brown Illinois Glass bottle

$65.00

This is fairly large bottle 8 inches high with a cork stopper which is partially broken away - it is empty and has been rinsed out - but not submerged as I wanted to leave the label intact . This is a great old bottle. The Dovers Powder was a a combination of morphine and ipecac. Dover's powder was a traditional medicine against cold and fever developed by Thomas Dover. It is no longer in use in modern medicine. It would make a great country store or antique pharmacy display item. No chips or cracks but bottom of the glass has some defects that I assume were just the product of bottle production at the time. the bottom is marked with a diamond and I . Illinois Glass mark. I would date the bottle to 1930-40 . The medicine was no longer used after the 50s.

Additional

Generally, buyers pay the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. Import charges can vary widely but are most commonly based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country.
Most sellers on Etsy are unable to predict which of these fees, if any, will be applied, and Etsy does not expect sellers to calculate or collect these fees or taxes. This information should be clarified in sellers' shop policies. You can learn more about shop policies here.
